Your sickness benefit

Average of your 6 highest MSCs in the qualifying year (capped ₱20,000).

Estimated sickness benefit
₱0.00

Requires 3+ contributions in the 12 months before the semester of sickness, at least 4 days' incapacity, exhausted company sick leave, and on-time notification.

How the sickness benefit works

Daily allowance = ADSC × 90% — at the ₱20,000 MSC cap: ₱666.67 × 90% = ₱600/day
  1. Qualify: unable to work for at least 4 days, 3+ posted contributions in the 12 months before the semester of sickness, company sick leave used up.
  2. Notify on time: employed members tell the employer within 5 calendar days of home confinement (hospital stays are exempt from the 5-day rule); self-employed and voluntary members notify SSS directly.
  3. Get paid: employers advance the benefit in payroll and SSS reimburses them; self-employed and voluntary members are paid directly by SSS.

The caps

Related: unemployment benefit if you lost your job, and the maternity benefit which uses the same ADSC math at 100% instead of 90%.
